An inspirational violin teacher with a fundamental quest for excellence.
Paula is an active educator and since 2021, she has served as Head of Strings at Wetherby Senior School, where she initiated a collaboration between the Wetherby Senior School Orchestra and London Mozart Players, enriching students’ orchestral experience through professional partnerships. In addition, each year one outstanding string player is selected to perform as a soloist with the senior string orchestra.
Paula currently teaches violin at the Guildhall Young Artists - Centre for Young Musicians, having joined the Guildhall Young Artists faculty in 2022. She previously held a teaching position at the Blackheath Conservatoire and regularly auditions students for music scholarships across various institutions. Her students regularly appear in competitions and festivals across the UK and have gained admission and scholarships to leading UK institutions, including the Purcell School, Winchester Cathedral School, St Paul’s Girls’ School, North London Collegiate School, Dulwich College, James Allen’s Girls’ School, King’s College Wimbledon, and Wells Cathedral School.
She is the Founder of the Terra Musica Academy, which provides students with exceptional opportunities to further their musical studies.
Outreach and education play a central role in Paula’s work. She regularly participates in outreach projects, sharing her ideas and insights with young musicians. In 2022, she held a residency at Guildhall Young Artists Norwich and the City of Norwich School, where she gave performances, talks, and lessons alongside the Chiarina Piano Quartet. Beyond her own teaching practice, she also works extensively with youth orchestras across England.
